Lonnie Bruhn's: Blog Off

Backstage Diaries is a new blog series and very personal ongoing project I am beginning. It will be more than just a blog, it will be a collection of personal short stories of my childhood life on up to my most recent experiences. Want to know how comedians go from merely living life to talking about it on stage and then slowly becoming drunks. Read my new series and you will get a vivid picture on how the magic happens.

In the new world of 140 character updates of our life, tweets and Facebook snippets; we have somehow lost the ability to read anything more than a paragraph long. In this series,  I have gone back to what some would call writing. It’s sad that a short story is now retro. 

Aside from stage, I really wanted to get behind the keyboard again and write. This series is not about getting the strongest reaction or the biggest punch line.  It is a journey for all of us to enjoy. It is a way for me to remember what got me here in the first place, and to give you all a real sense of who I am on and off the stage. I sincerely hope you enjoy this because I’ve been wanting to take this leap for some time.
